A new speedy dagger-wielding character named Hush will be available during the early access demo. The player will have six warriors to choose from, ranging from the quintessential swordsman Blade to the trickster Smoke, who can deflect projectiles and heal allies. Skirmish has just one control point at the centre of the map, fueling more chaotic gameplay (per IGN). Dominion involves gaining and holding outposts across the map, similar to Call of Duty’s Domination or Halo’s Strongholds. The launch will feature two game modes, Dominion and Skirmish. Warhaven is a 16v16 brawler with objective-based gameplay.
Essentially, For Honor caters to those who prefer a third-person experience while Chivalry dominates the first-person market. The medieval brawler genre hasn’t had many heavy hitters since the original Chivalry rose to prominence. Nexon’s upcoming medieval battler Warhaven will have a free demo available during Steam Next Fest (June 19 to June 26).
